A Burwood Window is craftsman made to your specification using hardwoods and softwood to match your original. When your property was built the original windows were made to fit but over the years walls move and windows that were once square go out of true. We can’t make the hole true but we can make a window to fit the shape that has developed. The original window may have been a sash or a casement and was probably draughty, but modern standards demand different levels of comfort and a Burwood Window can be fitted with double glazed units and draught reduction systems to keep the heat that you pay for inside, where you need it.

When it comes to the doors for your property we are pleased to offer the same quality of service and will make a door to match the original whether that’s for external or internal use.  Be it a grand entrance for the ballroom or a smaller entrance for the scullery maid a Burwood Door will be especially produced for you by our skilled team and fitted with furniture (handles, hinges and locks) to your specification ready for installation. If you have original furniture to fit that’s not a problem; let us have the handles or fit them yourself. If the original is falling apart but you want us to match them, we can find a proprietary product which is similar or alternatively we can have new handles cast for you. Internally. specifications of building timbers have changed over the years. If you are looking for matching skirtings, dado rails, picture rails and any other mouldings that you need for your restoration project Burwood will supply. At Burwood we don’t have a stock range of timber mouldings from which you can choose. We will make a moulding to the design that you need.

Many customers come to us having made enquiries of other, more local, joiners and are surprised that we can be flexible about delivery dates. Part of our quality ethic is to provide you with the best possible delivery schedule that we can, to fit to your needs. And that’s where the flexibility stops. Once we have committed to a delivery date, you can expect your delivery on time and if, as sometimes happens, we are ready to deliver early we will always ask before we ship the product.
