When you get the replacement skirtings almost perfectly matched, the slight differences will catch your eye as long as you live there. When the skirtings match exactly and are made from the same type of timber the job has been done properly.

Burwood Joinery discovered many years ago that if we are to be able to make our windows and doors exactly to match and replace original designs we needed mouldings that exactly matched those made by craftsmen hundreds of years ago. As a result we have invested in equipment and skills to do just that.  Customers then began to ask us to match skirtings, dado rails and many other wooden mouldings so that they could “do a proper job” on the property that they were renovating.

If you have a timber moulding that you need to replace or match we can match it. It may be that we have stock cutters for your moulding, but if we haven’t we have the skills of the artisans of Sheffield to hand to make an exact copy.

We are happy to work from drawings, photographs or to turn your ideas into drawings for you to approve. But ideally, to ensure that we make a perfect match, we would like a piece of the original even if it is less than perfect. This helps us to match the timber as well as the design
